Elizabeth began her yoga journey over 20 years ago when she was an elementary school teacher. She loved how it made her body and mind feel connected and calm. She immediately felt more patient and present and she knew yoga was crucial for her well-being. She practiced pre-natal yoga through all three of her pregnancies. Since then, she has tried just about every kind of yoga and has fallen in love with the practice both physically and emotionally.
An avid runner, Elizabeth appreciates the benefits of yoga in her training routine. She values the strength and flexibility that enhance her running and keep her grounded and connected to her body as well as the breathwork and “moving meditation” to keep her focused during marathons and other challenging life events.
Elizabeth has been in the fitness industry since 1998. She has taught many kinds of classes to people of all ages and levels. In 2017, she completed her 200-hour RYT at Soul Yoga studio. She has taught yoga in a variety of settings ever since. She has taught people of all ages and levels, including beginners, athletes, and experienced yogis.
In her classes, she emphasizes breathwork, mindfulness, body awareness, and self-acceptance. She strives to make a connection with her yoga students and offers welcoming space and encouragement for each individual.
